Willoughby, OH (February 25, 2022) – Local reports revealed that a suspected drunk driver caused a two-car accident in the Willoughby area on Thursday morning, February 24. The crash was reported at around 2 a.m. on Erie Street.
A red Dodge pickup truck and a Jeep Latitude reportedly crashed into the BMA Media Group building. According to local reports, the driver of the pickup rear-ended the Jeep while making a left turn. The impact caused both vehicles to crash into the structure.
The driver of the Dodge fled on foot but was later apprehended by authorities. He was then transported to University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center for treatment. The 26-year-old woman driving the Jeep was also injured and taken to Lake West Hospital. Alcohol is believed to have been involved in the crash.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
