Paint Twp, OH (October 1, 2021) – A passenger was injured and a driver killed in the aftermath of a two-vehicle accident in Paint Township on Friday, October 1.
The deadly crash occurred near the intersection of US-62 and OH-515. Emergency responders were sent to the scene at around 4:40 a.m. that morning. Local reports revealed that 72-year-old Maxine Hamlin was traveling northbound in a 2008 Jeep at the time of the crash.
Hamlin reportedly ran a stop sign and entered the path of another vehicle. Her vehicle was struck by the 20-year-old Millersburg driver. Hamlin sustained fatal injuries was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 33-year-old passenger was taken to Canton Aultman Hospital for treatment.
An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
