Highland Heights, OH (March 22, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Highland Heights area ended in injuries. The police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 5:50 p.m. on March 20.
According to local law enforcement, a gray 2015 Dodge Challenger was traveling north on Bishop Road. As the vehicle approached the intersection of Highland Road, a silver 2009 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on the roadway at the same time. Both vehicles proceeded forward. The Toyota Corolla made a last-minute lane change and entered the turning lane when it collided with the Dodge Challenger.
The Dodge Challenger became disabled due to the accident. The driver of the Toyota Corolla was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way when turning left at an intersection. One person involved in the accident was injured. The victim, 77-year-old Edward Kelley, was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for emergency care. The accident is being investigated at this time.
