Eastlake, OH (June 20, 2022) – A man and his daughter were seriously injured following a fire at an apartment complex in Eastlake on Sunday morning, June 19. The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. at the Willowood Apartments located on Vine Street.
Local reports indicated that smoke and flames were coming from a unit in the building. A neighbor and a police officer attempted to get inside the residence to assist those inside but were unable to do so. Firefighters arrived a short time later and were able to rescue both parties.
The man and his daughter were flown to UH Lake West Medical Center in serious condition. No updates on their conditions have been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the fire is underway.
