Delta, OH (August 5, 2022) – The passenger of a commercial truck was killed after being involved in an accident in Delta on Friday morning, August 5. The deadly crash took place on the Ohio Turnpike at around 1:30 a.m.
A semi-truck operated by 30-year-old Nicholas A. George of St. Lawrence overturned while traveling on the highway. A passenger, 30-year-old Javier A. Rodriguez of Cleveland, was ejected in the crash. Rodriguez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
George was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. No other information has been provided.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is underway.
