Cleveland, OH (April 26, 2022) – On Saturday evening, April 23, a 5-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a motor vehicle in the Cleveland area. The deadly pedestrian crash took place at the 3100 block of W. 50th Street at around 6:30 p.m.
The victim was reportedly entering the roadway when she was hit by an oncoming motorist. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured pedestrian. The young girl suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The at-fault driver was later apprehended and identified as a 17-year-old woman. No additional information has been released at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is underway.
