Car accidents in Ohio can be quite devastating. Unfortunately, we see tens of thousands of people injured every year as a result of collisions on our roads. In many cases, crashes take place due to the reckless and negligent actions of drivers. Some of the leading factors in motor vehicle accidents across our state include:
- Challenging Road Conditions: Accidents are often linked to deteriorating road surfaces, especially when drivers find it difficult to maneuver over uneven or damaged roads.
- Inadequate Lane Changes: Making improper lane changes, particularly without yielding to other vehicles, has the potential to result in serious accidents.
- Distracted Driving: The significant factor in numerous accidents statewide continues to be inattentiveness to the road, often caused by distractions such as cell phones and eating.
- Disregarding Stop Signs: Severe accidents can occur when drivers ignore stop signs at intersections, leading to collisions with other vehicles.
Unfortunately, there are many instances where innocent people lose their lives as a result of these accidents. When fatal motor vehicle accidents take place due to the negligent actions of others, surviving family members have the ability to seek compensation for the losses and damages they face.
