Westlake, OH (April 5, 2024) – On April 3, the officials were called to the scene of an automobile accident that sent one person to an area hospital with injuries. The incident was reported to law enforcement at around 6:15 p.m.
According to reports provided by the Westlake Police Department, a black 2016 vehicle was heading southbound on Columbia Road while approaching the intersection of Maple Ridge Road. At the same time, a white 2013 vehicle was traveling westbound on Maple Ridge Road, approaching the intersection. As the driver of the white vehicle began to turn southbound onto Columbia Road, the vehicle collided with the black vehicle.
The black vehicle was severely damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 67-year-old Denise Marie Lesniak, was injured in the crash. The victim was transported to UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio, for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
