Streetsboro, OH (July 18, 2022) – Police in Portage County are currently investigating the details of a car crash that happened in Streetsboro. The incident was reported at approximately 2:39 p.m.
According to reports, the wreck happened on Route 14 near Portage Pointe Drive. A 2014 Kia Soul collided head-on with a semi-truck for reasons still being investigated by police.
The semi-truck was pulling an RV at the time of the crash, sources said. The Kia was headed northwest while the truck was headed southeast.
The driver of the Kia, identified as Patricia Jamison, 67, lost her life in the collision. She required extrication from her vehicle by fire crews with the Streetsboro Fire Department.
The truck driver sustained no injuries in the wreck. He was identified as a 58-year-old man from Mentor. At this time, police are investigating the details of the incident.
