Middlefield Twp, OH (January 17, 2022) – Three boys were injured following an auto accident in Middlefield Township on Sunday, January 16. The accident took place at the intersection of Nauvoo Road and OH-528 just past midnight.
The accident reportedly involved a horse-drawn buggy and a van. Three boys, believed to be a part of the Amish community, were traveling through the intersection when they were hit by the westbound Gray 2009 Chevrolet Express van. The impact caused all three boys to be ejected.
The three victims all sustained serious injuries, and one was listed in critical condition. The injured parties were flown to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. There were ten passengers in the van, and all were treated at the scene by responding medical personnel.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Car Crashes in Ohio
Car accidents are the leading cause of death and serious injury in the United States, and the same is true right here in Ohio. The state has experienced a dramatic increase in deadly traffic accidents in recent years. Nationwide, more than 3 million people are injured in over 6 million car crashes each year. Those unfairly injured in a collision should consult a qualified attorney to discuss lost compensation.
Car accident victims frequently struggle to understand their rights in time to defend themselves after an accident, and the moments immediately following a collision are crucial in winning your claim for compensation. Most people do not have a thorough grasp of state laws, insurance coverage, or what to do if they are hurt in a car accident, which can be a roadblock when making a personal injury claim. Fortunately, you do not have to pursue a personal injury claim on your own, and hiring an attorney with experience can improve your chances of recovering lost compensation. An expert Middlefield Township personal injury lawyer can assist you in filing a claim and recovering damages such as medical bills, lost wages, and other losses.
