Middlefield Twp, OH (January 17, 2022) – Three boys were injured following an auto accident in Middlefield Township on Sunday, January 16. The accident took place at the intersection of Nauvoo Road and OH-528 just past midnight.
The accident reportedly involved a horse-drawn buggy and a van. Three boys, believed to be a part of the Amish community, were traveling through the intersection when they were hit by the westbound Gray 2009 Chevrolet Express van. The impact caused all three boys to be ejected.
The three victims all sustained serious injuries, and one was listed in critical condition. The injured parties were flown to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. There were ten passengers in the van, and all were treated at the scene by responding medical personnel.
