Deadly Pedestrian Crashes in Ohio
According to statistics, pedestrian deaths have reached all-time highs in recent years. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely to be killed in a traffic accident. Despite the fact that pedestrians have the same right to the road as everyone else, many drivers fail to look out for them, resulting in fatal traffic accidents.
No matter if you live in a big city or a rural area, you are going to share the road with pedestrians from time to time. Drivers on Ohio roadways owe a duty to all roadway travelers, including pedestrians. Many state residents choose to walk to restaurants, go for a jog, or just want to enjoy a beautiful day on foot. As a pedestrian, you have legal rights.
