Cleveland, OH (May 18, 2022) – A local man was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in Cleveland on Monday afternoon, May 16. The deadly pedestrian crash was reported on Interstate 90 near Martin Luther King Drive at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was walking across the highway to retrieve a wheel that had fallen off his vehicle when he was struck by a 2006 Hyundai Azera driven by a 62-year-old man. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased victim was identified as Larry V. Burkett-Uher. The driver was transported to EMS to MetroHealth for the treatment of sustained injuries. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
