Pedestrian Accidents in Ohio
Pedestrian accidents cause hundreds of injuries annually in Ohio. Sadly, many of these incidents are avoidable, often resulting from negligence, such as failure to yield, running red lights, or disregarding stop signs.
In cases where drivers are speeding during pedestrian accidents, victims are at a higher risk of sustaining severe and life-threatening injuries. Trauma to the head, internal organ injuries, and severe compound fractures are, unfortunately, common outcomes of such accidents. Following injuries in a pedestrian accident, victims retain the option to pursue personal injury claims against those accountable, seeking financial relief for medical expenses, lost earnings, and more.
Taking immediate action to contact a Cleveland pedestrian accident attorney is crucial. Your lawyer can assist you in pursuing compensation from the negligent party.
To succeed, you must demonstrate the presence of negligence at the time of the accident, indicating that the driver owed you a duty of care, breached that duty, causing the crash, and resulting in damages to you. While this process may appear straightforward, insurance companies often do everything possible to deny injured parties’ rightful claims. For this reason, it is imperative to work with a dedicated and trusted legal team to significantly improve your chances of obtaining justice.
