Cleveland, OH (August 19, 2024) – A seven-year-old has died as a result of a hit-and-run accident reported in the Cleveland area. The collision was reported to the Cleveland Division of Police at around 7:20 p.m. on August 16.
According to law enforcement reports, a 70-year-old boy was riding a skateboard in the driveway of a parking lot located at 16024 Lakeshore Boulevard during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a black Mercedes GLS450 4MATIC traveling through the area struck the child. The child was dragged under the vehicle for an unknown distance before the Mercedes fled the scene. The young child was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, he ended up passing away as a result of his injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
