Brook Park, OH (July 2, 2024) – On June 30, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an automobile accident at around 9:40 p.m. in the Brook Park area.
Reports provided by the Brook Park Police Department indicate that a gray 2018 Toyota RAV4 and a blue 2007 Honda Odyssey were traveling southbound on Interstate 71. The Toyota was in the far left lane, while the Honda was using the middle lane. As the Honda merged in front of the Toyota due to the closure of the lane in a construction zone, the two vehicles collided.
Emergency medical services were called to the scene to care for 69-year-old Sandra Jean Cox. Cox was transported to Southwest General Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the police department is investigating the crash.
