Cleveland, OH (September 24, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in the Cleveland area claimed one man’s life. The collision took place on September 22 during the evening hours.
Official reports indicate that a semi-truck tractor-trailer and two additional vehicles collided on the southbound side of Interstate 271 at around 10:50 p.m. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway between Chagrin Boulevard and Harvard Road. A 40-year-old man from Mayfield Heights was severely injured in the crash. He was transported to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, where he died from his injuries. The victim has since been identified as Antwane L. Williams. Two other victims were treated for injuries while at the scene. At this time, law enforcement is investigating the incident.
