Cleveland, OH (October 26, 2021) – A Garfield Heights man was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Cleveland on Thursday, October 21.
The fatal crash occurred on Interstate 480 near the Valley View Bridge. Local reports revealed that the accident took place at around 2 p.m. that afternoon. A Honda Civic driven by 65-year-old James Hess was traveling westbound on the highway.
The vehicle spun out and was hit by an oncoming semi-truck. This caused the Honda to crash into a concrete barrier. Hess suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
