Cleveland, OH (December 15, 2021) – A set of 9-year-old twins lost their lives following a structure fire in the Cleveland area on Sunday morning, December 13. The deadly blaze occurred at a residence located at the 1400 block of W. 54th Street at around 12:30 a.m.
The fire reportedly spread quickly throughout the home, traveling from the second floor up into the attic. Firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire and assist those trapped inside. A total of five adults and three children were transported to medical facilities for treatment of sustained injuries.
Two of the children suffered fatal injuries and were declared dead by medical personnel. The cause of the fire has not been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly incident is underway.
