Kent, OH (October 18, 2021) – Early on Friday morning, October 15, in Kent, a head-on accident resulted in the death of one person.
The incident took place at the junction of Lake Street and Harvey Street at around 11 a.m. Local sources revealed that a silver Toyota Camry was traveling westbound when the driver crossed the centerline. An eastbound semi-truck stopped to avoid a collision.
Both vehicles still crashed head-on. The front seat passenger of the Camry was trapped and suffered significant injuries. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to Akron Summa Hospital. The passenger was later pronounced dead.
The driver, 60-year-old Charles G. Mason, was taken into custody by local authorities.
