Bedford, OH (October 28, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident reported in the Bedford area claimed one person’s life. The incident took place at around 9:00 a.m. on October 25.
According to police reports, a bicyclist was traveling in the 18,200 block of Rockside Road during the morning hours. As they proceeded forward, they were struck by a car in an accident involving two vehicles. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the bicyclist still stuck under the vehicle, suffering from severe injuries. Firefighters were able to remove the victim. However, they ended up passing away from their injuries while at the scene. The bicyclist was later identified as 59-year-old Linda Conger. The drivers of both vehicles received medical treatment at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
