Pierpoint Twp, OH (October 5, 2021) – A woman was killed and two others injured following a car accident in Pierpoint Township on Friday, October 1.
The incident took place on US-6 near OH-7 that night at around 6:30 p.m. Local sources revealed that 24-year-old Tassie Stewart of North Kingsville was driving a black 2021 Jeep Compass westbound on the highway. When she entered the intersection, she collided with a dark green 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 39-year-old Pennsylvania resident.
The impact caused the Silverado to leave the roadway where it rolled over multiple times. Stewart reportedly sustained fatal injuries in the impact. The driver and two passengers in the Silverado were hospitalized for treatment.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local authorities.
