Granger Twp, OH (November 5, 2021) – A Hinckley man was killed following a two-vehicle collision in the Granger Township area on Thursday, November 4.
The fatal crash occurred at the crossing of OH-18 and OH-94 at around 4:07 p.m. Local reports revealed that 70-year-old John E. Horne of Hinckley was driving a 2008 Chevrolet eastbound on OH-18 when he made a turn onto OH-94. This is when Horne’s vehicle was struck in the side by a 2018 Jeep.
Both vehicles were disabled due to the impact. Horne was transported to Akron General Hospital and later pronounced dead. The 19-year-old Medina man driving the Jeep was also hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries.
