Beachwood, OH (January 5, 2024) – The Beachwood Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place during the morning hours on Thursday, January 4. At approximately 7:40 a.m., emergency officials were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 271.
Preliminary reports indicate that a crash involving three vehicles took place on the interstate, blocking the northbound side of the roadway near Harvard Avenue. The incident prompted officials to shut down a portion of the road as they worked to remove the involved vehicles. Medical personnel responded to care for the injured victims while on site. Those harmed were then transported to local hospitals, where they underwent emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
