Pedestrian Accidents in Ohio
Every day, innocent people are hurt as a result of automobile accidents. In many cases, pedestrians are the unfortunate victims. We see countless pedestrians left with severe injuries that impact their lives forever.
Countless acts of negligence contribute to pedestrian accidents here in Ohio. Some of the most common include:
- Failing to Yield: When a driver does not yield the right of way to pedestrians, it can have devastating consequences. Regrettably, we often see pedestrian accidents take place as a result of drivers who fail to stop at stop signs or crosswalks.
- Distractions: When motorists do not pay attention to the road ahead of them, they can strike pedestrians who may be traveling nearby.
- Impairment: When drivers are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they are less likely to be able to make responsible decisions. As a result, they are more likely to strike pedestrians who are traveling in the area.
