Medina, OH (February 24, 2022) – A Brunswick woman was injured after being involved in a crash with an alleged drunk driver in the Medina area on Monday night, February 21. The accident was reported at the 5900 block of Lafayette Road at around 6:30 p.m.
Local sources revealed that Alexis Culver was traveling southbound as she slowed to make a U-turn. Culver was reportedly stopped waiting for traffic when she was hit from behind by another vehicle.
It was reported that 34-year-old David Landrum of Spencer crossed the double yellow line to go around Culver when the two drivers crashed. The impact pushed Culver’s vehicle into a ditch where it hit a utility pole. Landrum initially fled the scene but was later apprehended charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
Our thoughts are with Alexis Culver and her family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.
