Brooklyn Heights, OH (January 10, 2024) – Emergency officials out of Brooklyn Heights responded to the scene of a car crash that ended in injuries. The accident was reported to law enforcement just before 7:45 a.m. on January 8.
According to reports provided by area law enforcement, a silver 2018 Honda CR-V SUV was traveling west on Interstate 480 from the Interstate 77 southbound entrance ramp. A silver 2020 Ford Explorer SUV was behind the vehicle. As the Honda began to slow down due to traffic on the road ahead, it was struck in the rear by the Ford Explorer. Two people involved in the accident were injured. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to provide care to 59-year-old Brenda Lucas. Lucas was transported to Metro Main Campus. One additional victim, identified as 54-year-old Tamala Brown, was transported to Parma VA Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
