Euclid, OH (November 17, 2021) – A serious fire at a retirement facility in Euclid resulted in two hospitalizations on Friday morning, November 12. The incident occurred at Hilltop Village located in the 25900 block of Euclid Avenue at around 9:53 a.m.
Firefighters and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. Responders quickly got to work extinguishing the fire and evacuating occupants. The structure reportedly had 202 units and over 3.5 acres with no sprinkler system.
Several fire departments were called due to the severity of the blaze. Two residents suffered injuries related to smoke inhalation and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. No further updates on their conditions have been revealed at this time.
An ongoing accident investigation is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
