Pedestrian Accidents in Ohio
Pedestrian accidents are the cause of hundreds of injuries every year in the state of Ohio. The unfortunate truth is that many of these accidents are preventable. Pedestrian accidents often involve some form of negligence, such as failing to yield, running red lights, or passing stop signs.
When drivers are speeding at the time of pedestrian accidents, victims are more likely to suffer severe and life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, we see many people left with trauma to the head, internal organ injuries, and severe compound fractures as a result of these accidents far too often. After suffering injuries in a pedestrian accident, victims have the ability to file personal injury claims against those who are responsible. This type of legal action can provide your family with financial relief for medical expenses, lost earnings, and more.
It is important to act quickly to reach out to a Cleveland pedestrian accident lawyer right away. Your attorney will be able to help you pursue a claim for compensation against the negligent party.
In order to prevail, you must be able to show that negligence existed at the time of the accident. This involves showing that the driver owed you a duty of care, they breached their duty, the breach caused the crash, and you suffered damages as a result. Even though it may seem like a straightforward process, insurance companies will often do all that they can to prevent injured parties from getting the money they rightfully deserve. This makes it essential that you work with a strong legal team to ensure you have the best chance of getting justice.
