Bus Accidents in Ohio

Cleveland, OH – RTA Bus and Car Collide on Kinsman Rd, Two Drivers InjuredBus accidents across Ohio result in dozens of injuries annually. Many of these accidents involve passenger vehicles and are often attributed to driver errors, poor road conditions, or other preventable factors. Bus crashes present unique challenges for all involved due to the size and weight of the vehicles, which can lead to significant damage and risks.

Understanding what to do after an accident can be critical. Below are key considerations for individuals who find themselves injured in accidents involving buses:

  • Potential Causes of Bus Accidents: Driver fatigue, distractions, and mechanical issues are some of the most common contributors to bus accidents. In some cases, a lack of proper vehicle maintenance can also lead to dangerous situations.
  • Injuries Common in Bus Accidents: Due to the large size of buses, accidents often lead to severe injuries such as broken bones, head trauma, or soft tissue injuries. Even in low-speed collisions, the impact can cause significant harm to passengers and drivers alike.
  • Insurance Complexities: Bus accidents often involve multiple parties, including the transit authority and private insurance carriers, which can complicate the claims process.
  • Legal Protections: In Ohio, laws are in place to protect victims of accidents caused by negligence. It’s important to work with a knowledgeable attorney to hold the responsible party accountable.
