Fatal Pedestrian Crashes in Ohio
Pedestrians have little to no protection from careless drivers while they are traveling on the roads of Ohio. The likelihood of a pedestrian being seriously hurt or killed when struck by an automobile or other motor vehicle is quite high. According to Ohio data, non-drivers are involved in around 12% of the state’s annual motor vehicle accident fatalities.
A careless driver operating a car, truck, bus, or another vehicle can devastate a pedestrian. Broken bones, catastrophic brain injuries, crippling spinal cord injury, and even wrongful death frequently occur in pedestrian accident victims. A pedestrian accident victim’s full recovery from their injuries can sometimes take months or even years. After a pedestrian accident, you should speak with a competent lawyer as quickly as you can to safeguard your legal rights.
