Cleveland, OH (April 9, 2024) – one man was transported to an area hospital with injuries following an airplane accident that occurred in Cleveland on Saturday, April 6. At around 6:00 p.m., authorities were notified that they were needed at the scene of an incident that occurred near the Cleveland airport.
Reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol indicate that a single-engine plane experienced problems while landing, causing the engine to burst into flames while on the runway. A 64-year-old man in the airplane was injured as a result of the incident. The man was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for emergency treatment. A 62-year-old woman in the plane was uninjured. At this time, the incident is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
