Cleveland, OH (March 8, 2022) – Two children lost their lives following a structure fire on Jeffries Avenue in the Cleveland area on Tuesday morning, March 8.
A 1-month-old girl and a 1-year-old boy were reportedly killed in the fire. Three other children at the scene were rescued and transported to Marymount Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. All the children were reportedly alone inside the home at the time of the incident.
The smoke detectors in the home were reportedly not working. The mother reportedly arrived as firefighters were responding to the home.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly fire is underway.
