Pedestrian Crashes in Ohio
Pedestrian deaths have reached all-time highs in recent years, according to statistics. Pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely to be killed in a traffic accident, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Despite the fact that pedestrians have the same right to use the road as everyone else, many drivers fail to keep an eye out for them, resulting in tragic accidents.
Whether you live in a big city or a rural area, you will occasionally have to share the road with pedestrians. Drivers in Ohio have a responsibility to all road users, including pedestrians. Many residents of the state prefer to walk to restaurants, jog, or simply enjoy a beautiful day on foot. You have legal rights as a pedestrian. That means that if you are injured in a car accident and are hit by another vehicle, you may be entitled to compensation with the help of a qualified Cleveland car accident lawyer.
